SquareRoot Media ("the App") is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Data Storage

Your favourites, hidden titles, watch progress, a saved copy of your library listing and downloaded posters are stored locally on your device. Your media server addresses and sign-in details are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. This information is not collected, transmitted, or stored on any servers operated by Scott Brookes Designs.

Media Servers and Plex Sign-In

The App connects only to the Jellyfin, Plex or Emby servers that you enter. Your media, artwork and playback travel directly between your device and your server; Scott Brookes Designs has no access to them. If you choose to sign in with Plex, the App communicates with Plex's sign-in service (plex.tv) to authenticate your account, subject to Plex's own privacy policy.

Demo Library

The built-in demo library is included with the App and does not require a server or an account.

Analytics & Tracking

SquareRoot Media does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. No usage data is collected or transmitted for tracking purposes.

In-App Purchases

Media Pro purchases and free trials are processed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Scott Brookes Designs does not receive or store any payment information.

Children's Privacy

SquareRoot Media is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
