Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

SquareRoot Podcasts ("the App") is designed with your privacy in mind. It has no account, no ads and no analytics, and it does not collect information about you. This policy explains what the App does handle and who it talks to.

Data Stored on Your Device

The shows you follow, the shows you hide, your settings and your listening progress are stored on your device only. This information is not collected, transmitted, or stored on any server operated by Scott Brookes Designs.

How the App Builds Its Wall of Podcasts

To fill the wall, the App connects to the following services. Like any website or app that loads content from the internet, each of them can see your device's IP address when it answers a request.

Open in Apple Podcasts

Some shows have an "Open in Apple Podcasts" button. Tapping it opens that show in Apple's Podcasts app, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. SquareRoot Podcasts is an independent app and is not affiliated with Apple Podcasts.

Content

Show information comes from the Podcast Index. Covers and episodes belong to their publishers. The App does not host or re-distribute any audio.

Analytics & Tracking

SquareRoot Podcasts does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and does not track you. No usage data is collected or transmitted for tracking purposes.

Purchases

The App is free and has no in-app purchases.

Children's Privacy

SquareRoot Podcasts is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children. Episodes are created by third parties and may contain content that is not suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
